Types of Braces
Metal Braces
The most common type of braces is the metal kind because they are the most versatile and efficient to use. This translates to fewer appointments and shorter treatment time. Patients love accessorizing with a variety of different colors.
Clear Braces
An esthetic alternative to metal braces is clear, or ceramic braces. These are less visible to patients because the color blends in with the natural tooth color.
Invisalign
The Invisalign system uses a series of clear, custom made plastic trays to move teeth. This is the most esthetic method because the trays are nearly undetectable to the eye, so most people won't even know you are wearing them.
Indirect Bonding
Indirect bonding is a short and efficient way of putting braces on. Instead of having a lengthy bonding appointment where one brace is placed at a time, then cured, a custom tray is fabricated with all of the braces inside of it. The tray is then placed on the entire arch, and all of the braces are cured at the same time.
